A Cheyenne Sunrise Rotary Club Business meeting on July 28 produced several ideas for membership recruitment including one from immediate Past President Andy Miller, who suggested a direct mail campaign. "If it works for big business, why wouldn't it work for us?" Miller questioned. He noted that the club could target larger businesses who could afford the club's dues and might want their upper management involved in Rotary but didn't know how to go about it.

Others suggested it was as simple as going to a business and asking the targeted member (a member of management, etc.) to come to a meeting and we would buy them breakfast.

Here are some potential candidates to consider for membership:

  • Friends and family members
  • Business acquaintances
  • Professional colleagues
  • Younger community leaders who are already connected to Rotary through Rotaract, RYLA, peace fellowships, Youth Exchange, and other programs
