Thank you to all of you who turned out for the visit from DG Ken Small and wife Joan. It was nice to hear from the District Governor that we are doing some great things in our small club.
A few more inspirational moments from Tuesday. Doc received his white hat award. I wish I had been a little more proactive to write down how many Rotarians have received this prestigious award. I can tell you it is not many. We are a club with unique club members where skills and talents are spread to make us successful. Additionally, we started our flu shot fundraiser for Polio Plus. Thank you Doc for heading this up and thank you to all who got flu shots. We will be a healthy club.
And yes, this week we said good-bye to a dear Rotarian friend - George McIlvaine. He will be missed! At his Rosary Father Tom said that George lived the 4 Way Test but one of his redeeming factors was that he believed in - is it fair to all concerned and treat others as we wish to be treated. As Rotarian's we can all do this in our daily lives.
No early meeting this week! Meet at the Element Church at 5:15 and we will help fill Friday food bags. Afterwards, we will go to Uncle Charlie's and have dinner - please invite your spouse/significant other to join us. We will pay for the member's dinner. Please come and join our service/social evening.
