Club Social Project: Friday Food Bag

13 members of Cheyenne Sunrise Rotary Club helped fill hundreds of brown paper bags with 10 or so food items which will be delivered to schools around Cheyenne to help get low income kids through their weekend with a supplemental food bag.

The Friday Food Bag Foundation works with educators and social workers from both LCSD 1 and LCSD 2 to deliver bags of nutritious, non-perishable food each Friday while school is in session to children who otherwise might not eat well, or at all, during the weekends.

At the Element Church in north Cheyenne where the bags are filled is displayed a large check replica filled out to Friday Food Bag from the Cheyenne Sunrise Rotary Foundation for $8,000.00, an earlier contribution.
