CSR Golf Fundraiser, After-party, successes!

Cheyenne Sunrise Rotary Club's Annual Golf Fundraiser at the Cheyenne Country Club June 23rd attracted 75 golfers and raised funds for the club's Foundation, the Foster Grandparent's Program and the LCCC Scholarship sponsored and funded by our members.

 

It was a beautiful day in Cheyenne, with cool temperatures but no rain as in past years and the teams reported having more fun interacting with each other than they did with the actual golf.

 

Club President and Golf Committee Chair Brenda Laird kicked off the day by remembering long-time volunteer and Cheyenne Rotary Club member (and Past President) Carol Rookstool, who passed away last year and was missed and remembered by everyone who played hole #13, where she had volunteered for so many years.

 

The total dollar amount raised by this year's tournament will be announced at the July 11th meeting, where our incoming 2017-18 club officers will be inducted..

 

Incoming club president (also Past President) Roxanne Ostlund and husband Tom (the chef) hosted the club at their home with some fabulous food and drink, along with great fellowship. Thanks to Tom and Roxanne!
