Cheyenne Sunrise Rotary members once again served as "bell ringers" for the Salvation Army and once again outdid everyone by bringing in over $1,000.00!! Most of the donations were of the smaller variety, but three generous individuals donated 100-dollar bills. One bell-ringer said she was heartened by the number of people who donated during the day at King Soopers grocery store (and thanks to them for letting us ring bells in their sheltered doorway, though the weather was tolerable for the effort).
The Salvation Army uses the money raised to feed and shelter the hungry in Cheyenne at this critical time of the year, the holidays when the plight of those less fortunate becomes highlighted.
CSR Past President Brenda Laird coordinated the effort and thanks everyone who wore out their wrists ringing bells for this great effort!
