Rotary District Governor  Barbara Redder presented CSR member Dr. Lakhman Gondalia with his second Rotary Major Donor Award, signifying he has donated at least $20,000 to Rotary. Actually Doc, as he is fondly called by club members, has donated much, much more, including over $50,000 to the club's coffers through his Flu Shot Fundraiser over the last several years.

Lakhman has also donated to his own home town in India--among other things a library, built with his funds, for children there to access reading. His philanthropy has exceeded anything any other club member has done in the history of the club, and for this his fellow club members are grateful.

In accepting the award, Lakhman said it is really about Rotary's mission of global work to help others that motivates him to give. Assistant District Governor Billie Addleman also had a hand in presenting the award, which comes with a beautiful etched crystal desk stand.

Congratulations, Lakhman!
