Message from the club president
Dear Rotarians:
What an amazing day to be a Rotarian - that is how we started out our day and will in a few hours end it with - What an amazing day to be a Rotarian.
This a.m. 18 of us had an amazing opportunity to sit with 6 members of the U.S. Navy and have breakfast. Listening to Navy Admiral Michael S. White speak about how our waters are protected was inspiring.
Opening the meeting today I made a special request of donations for a fellow Rotarian and his family - The Guile Family. They have a urgent mission of bring a special little boy from China to join their family through adoption. He has a heart problem that needs attended to as soon as possible. Our Rotarian hearts were full this a.m. and many of you brought a special donation to honor and help the Guile family. Thank you! When I spoke with Kevin to tell him of your kindness - he was speechless and moved to tears.
My wish for each of you is that your day ends with as much kindness and compassion as you showed this a.m. I pray that each of you, whether it was donating money or by offering your kind of prayer knows that as a small group we make a huge difference in the lives of others - just ask the Guile family.
Thank you.....
See you in two weeks my friends. - Brenda Laird
