New CSR member Kurt Borgaard says he joined Rotary in part because he admired the service work that Rotary does. "I was particularly drawn in to the Rotary Club when my son Christian became interested in in the Rotary Youth Exchange. As well, Lakhman Gondolia has persistently persuaded me with his invitations to be a part of Rotary."
   Kurt lives in Cheyenne and has two sons. Jordan lives in Laramie and Christian is on Rotary Youth Exchange to Taiwan for the 2015-16 school year.
Kurt is currently the Lead Instructor for the Training Services Program at the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT). As the Lead Instructor he is responsible for coordinating the New Employee and New Supervisor Orientations.  As well Kurt delivers various professional and leadership development courses through WYDOT University.  He had that position since December 2013.
   Kurt previously served as the Senior Pastor at First Christian Church in Cheyenne, serving that congregation from 1996-2013.
Kurt has served on the Executive Committee for the Central Rocky Mountain Region Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), on the Congregational Transformation Team and is a Certified Regional Leadership Coach. Prior to entering seminary, Kurt did training and workshops pertaining to personal communication and performance. As well he was a principal at an advertising agency, and was an on-air radio personality.
   Kurt holds a Master’s Degree in Theology (M.Div.) from the Iliff School of Theology, a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Wyoming, and an associate degree in music. He has done course work at Texas Christian University. Kurt a Certified Practitioner of Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) Step I™ and Step II™ Instruments, a Certified Leadership Coach (CCLC), as well as a Certified Master Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).
