New President Is Past President

The Club at its regular meeting Aug. 30th elected Past President Brenda Laird to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of current president Milward Simpson, who resigned to take a new job in Lander, Wyoming.

 

Brenda agreed to take over to give President Elect Roxanne Ostlund more time to prepare for her next presidency next year. "Brenda will continue the great job she started as last year's president, if the club selects her," said Milward Simpson.

 

"We all want to thank Milward for his service and willingness to step up, and regret that he has to make a professional move which takes him away from us, but we understand and wish him well," Brenda said.

 

Brenda's first meeting as this year's president will be Sept. 13th, following the Labor Day recess. There will be no meeting the day after Labor Day.
