Past president touts Thankful Thursday event on Facebook

We who are on Facebook should take advantage of that free publicity service to spread the word about our upcoming event in just over a month...Thankful Thursday, a powerful fundraiser for our club, just as PP Brenda Laird did over the weekend on Facebook with this post;

One of the proudest moments in my life was becoming a Rotarian. I have been one since 2004. The lives our small club has touched which includes local, regional and international is amazing. Sunrise Rotary Club makes a difference.....daily.

We are lucky to have been chosen as one of the participants in the Thankful Thursday's fundraising evenings. It will be on September 21, 2017 at AmVets. We will have fun, drinks and lots of baskets to start your Christmas shopping early. Mark your calendars and join us.

We are also doing raffle tickets for$20 (which the club receives every dime from the ticket sells) for a chance at a Dream Vacation or $10,000. Remember, every dime helps our club. We have chosen to highlight three causes this year - Unaccompanied Young Adults (students who find themselves homeless and in high school), Body Line Dance Theater Adaptive Dance to help disabled children with costumes and dance for balance, energy and self esteem and finally the Sunrise Rotary Foundation which helps as emergency needs arise.
