My fellow Rotarians: Some of you know, some have been gone over the summer and do not know but as of Aug. 30, the club accepted Milward's resignation as President and I was voted in to do the remaining 10 months of his term. We wish Milward well as he goes across the state to Lander on his next big career adventure. Milward has been a great Rotarian and certainly will be missed.  Since I am stepping in, I will need to hit the ground running and work on a calendar for the upcoming year. On September 13, I will be outlining to the club ideas for some of the goals for our Rotary calendar year. Last year we had such a successful year working on including service, social and new members. I hope the momentum carries through and we extend the Rotarian mission forward. What I ask of you as a member of the Sunrise Rotary Club is to engage and connect. Attendance is the key to the success of the club. Having you at the meeting is encouragement to new members when you visit at the table before the meeting begins or even a couple of dollars thrown into the giving basket as it is passed helps us meet our RYLA goals. Each of you makes our club the unique club it is and you each bring something special to the table. Additionally, Jason Johnson has worked very hard at getting excellent guest speakers to present on Tuesday morning. Having a room full of Rotarians makes a big difference. Additionally, please mark your calendar for the 27th of September. That is the date set to have District Governor Barb Redder and Assistant Governor Billie Addleman in the house for a visit. If you haven't had the opportunity to meet DG Barb, now is your chance. She is truly a delight and an inspiration. Additionally, there will be an district award given to one of our Sunrise Rotarians. Thank you for allowing me to be the President for Sunrise Rotary. It is an honor and privilege to serve. May each of you find that the Sunrise Rotary Club brings enrichment to your life through service and friendship.
